New Horizon 2020 research and innovation initiative TITAN kicked off its fight against fake news during its inaugural meeting online.
The TITAN Consortium launched its project via a three-day Teams meeting. The agenda included an introduction between all attendees, an overview of project scope, the proposed use cases, as well as setting up of the project management strategy. This was the first meeting between all members of the Consortium since the proposal creation stage and was designed to establish working relationships and kick-off each of the project work packages.
The meeting on 21, 22 and 23 September was hosted by Engineering, TITAN's project Coordinator. The project manager outlined the fact that the need to support people in understanding how to determine the veracity of the information they read and share online has never been more important. TITAN's collaboration aims to yield future results in common areas of interest such as democracy, re-establishment of trust in institutions and migrant integration.
Following the online meeting, a face-to-face meeting will be held in November.
